The story of the relationship between the two main characters is punctuated with David's own adventure stories, creative writing that has been kick-started by his aged aunt. This book is delightful, a warm homage to creativity and the power of the imagination. It might also prove an inspiration both to reluctant writers and to those adults who believe in teaching "outside the box".
